Refer to the following hardware vendor links for more information about hardware that is compatible with SoftXpand and is recommended by MiniFrame:

ASUS

GIGABYTE

GIGABYTE

LEADTEK

MSI

MSI

PNY

XFX

Symptom:

The SoftXpand host computer is using 2 or more NVIDIA video cards. The cards are not all of the same NVIDIA chipset model.

The SoftXpand host computer crashes while SoftXpand is running although it seems that all hardware is intact and all software is configured correctly.

Cause:

It has been reported that using a combination of new and old NVIDIA video cards installed, may cause performance issues and crashes.

These problems may occur regardless if each card is using its own driver or if one homogeneous up to date NVIDIA driver is installed for all cards.

Resolution:

Install video cards of the same model onto your SoftXpand host PC.

If you do decide to install a combination of NVIDIA models, do not combine models that are GeForce 5 FX series or newer - with models that are older than the GeForce 5 FX series.

Additional information:

NVIDIA video cards are most compatible with SoftXpand and are recommended by MiniFrame. If you have a choice, always use NVIDIA video cards on SoftXpand host PCs.
