In order to remove SoftXpand from the computer, use the ‘Add/remove Programs’ in the control panel which is enough to ensure SoftXpand removal from the system.
This document’s purpose is to deal with the following 2 scenarios:
- Trying to uninstall SoftXpand using the: ‘Add/remove Programs’ is unsuccessful.
- As part of troubleshooting installation problem you would like to perform a manual system cleanup from any remains of previous version.
Note: This applies to SoftXpand version 3.0 and higher.
For manual removal of SoftXpand versions 2.20.100 and lower – refer to this KB:

In order to perform a manual cleanup of SoftXpand, perform the following steps:
- Back up your license file first.
Copy the file c:\Program Files\Miniframe\SoftXpand\SoftXpandLicense.dat to C:\Windows\ - Delete the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GinaDll

http://www.miniframe.com/knowledge-base/article/missing_ginadll_error_message_upon_boot.html. - Go to the device manager – display adapters and uninstall the ‘MiniFrame video display frame buffer driver’.
- Download msizap from here.
- Extract MSIZAP to C:\Windows
- Open CMD
- Run this command: msizap TWA! {3F709462-4AD7-482F-8761-C6ED6AD145A1}
- Run this command: msizap TW! {3F709462-4AD7-482F-8761-C6ED6AD145A1}
- Delete the folder C:\Program Files\Miniframe\
- Restart the computer.
At this point SoftXpand should be completely removed from your system.
You can now reinstall SoftXpand.
