SoftXpand prerequisite:
'Terminal Services' service started.
In order to make sure that ‘Terminal Services’ service is exists and that it is in status ‘started’:
See Windows Start - Settings - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services.
Additionally perform this test to confirm the service is not corrupted:
- Right click ‘My Computer’ – properties.
- Go to the ‘Remote’ tab.
- Uncheck the ‘Allow users to connect remotely to this computer’.
- Click Apply.
- Then check it back and click Apply.
The point of this test is to make sure that you are able to check and uncheck the ‘Allow users to connect remotely to this computer’ in order to eliminate the possibility of corrupted ‘Terminal Services’ service.
