SoftXpand's activation dialog box may be launched from two locations – the SoftXpand Control Panel and Admin Tools. Both options will open the same SoftXpand Activation dialog box.

To launch the SoftXpand Activation dialog box:

From the SoftXpand Control Panel:

• Go to Windows' Start > (All) Programs > SoftXpand and select SoftXpand, or double-click the SoftXpand icon on your desktop.
• The SoftXpand Control Panel dialog box will open.
• Click the ‘Activate’ button.

From Admin Tools:

• Go to Windows' Start > (All) Programs > SoftXpand and select Admin Tools, or right-click the SoftXpand Host Icon in Windows System Tray and select Admin Tools.
• The Admin Tools management console will open.
• In the left pane, right click the ‘License (Trial)’ node and select ‘Activate’.

After the Activation dialog box has appeared, follow these instructions to activate SoftXpand:

• In the ‘Activation Info’ section - fill in all details.
• In the ‘Options’ section - select the activation method as follows:
  
  • ‘Activate Online’ check box (default) - when an internet connection is available.
  • Select the ‘Use Proxy’ check box if needed. SoftXpand will use the existing proxy settings of Internet Explorer. If needed, type in the proxy IP address in the ‘Use Proxy’ text box.
  • ‘Activate Offline’: Use this option to generate an activation file.
• In the ‘License Info’ section - fill in the Serial Number as provided to you upon purchase.
• Click ‘Activate’ to activate online or to generate offline activation file.
  
  
  

In case of offline activation:

1. Attach the txt file generated from SoftXpand to an email and send it to MiniFrame at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . We will respond by sending another activation file to you with detailed instructions about using it to complete the activation of SoftXpand.
2. After receiving activation file from MiniFrame – place SoftXpandLicense.dat in the folder: C:\Program Files\Miniframe\SoftXpand\
   Note: SoftXpand will remain in Trial License until the offline activation process has been completed.

Note: SoftXpand’s activation status icon is located at the bottom left corner of the SoftXpand Activation dialog box. The ‘License’ node in ‘Admin tools’ provides detailed information about the license status.

Note: SoftXpand's license is hardware-based. Any changes to the Host's core hardware (CPU, motherboard, video cards, etc.) may require re-activation.
