8 Workstation Hardware General Guidlines

– Dual-Core processor or higher

– 4 GB, hi speed (800 MHZ) and a high end one

– Update bios prior to windows installation and use as default

–

o Make sure you use a motherboard that has sufficient space between the slots for video cards

o 6 or more rear USB ports

–

o Use only low powered video cards (Geoforce 7300,8400,8500 – around ~16W per video card)

o Use videos cards with 256MB

– Make sure you use a case with very good air flow cooling

– At least 600 Watt (real )

– Use at least a 4X7 port USB hub (one HUB for 2 workstations)

– Web browsers and Office applications

– Don’t use sound in the system
